Lionfish on Slemmestad Wreck

A red lionfish (Pterois volitans) perched on the base of the Slemmestad Wreck in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Red lionfish are native to the Indo-Pacific region, as well as the western and central Pacific and off the coast of western Australia. The species is also now found in the Western Atlantic due to being accidentally introduced. It is an invasive species there.
