Translucent Jellyfish

A translucent moon jellyfish (aurelia aurita) photographed at uShaka Marine World in Durban, South Africa. Moon jellyfish are found throughout most of the world’s oceans, from the tropics to the far north. They prefer temperate seas with consistent currents and feed on plankton. It is with the invention of the Kreisel tank that has made it possible to maintain these jellyfish in captivity.
