African Pengiun

African Penguin

An African Pengiun (Spheniscus demersus) also known as the jackass penguin and black-footed penguin, relaxes on the rocks at the New England Aquarium. This species of penguin is confined to southern African waters and like all extant penguins it is flightless, with a streamlined body, and wings stiffened and flattened into flippers for a marine habitat.
