Dinner Time!

Lizardfish Eating

It’s dinner time for a sand lizardfish (Synodus dermatogenys) off the coast of Dar es Salaam. Lizardfish tend to camouflage themselves on rocks on sand which works excellently for ambushing prey, prey sometimes so large, that they can’t even fit inside a lizardfish’s mouth!

Photo shot with a Sony DSC-RX100M II Camera in a Nauticam housing with a INON S-2000 Strobe, a hand-mounted SOLA 2100 Video Light and a Sola P1200 red focus light.
