Diving a Sikorsky H-37 Helicopter

GOPR1658-swm-2

A freediver dives down to a sunken Sikorsky  H-37 helicopter in Dutch Springs lake of Pennsylvania. The 88′ (26.8 meters) long – including rotors, 27′ (8.2 meters) wide, and 22′ (6.7 meters) high helicopter, is suspended in the water with the top at about 25′ (7.6 meters) deep and the bottom at 55′ (16.7 meters) deep.

The Diving Helicopter is penetrable by experienced divers through several openings along the sides of the aircraft or through the direct openings to the surface in the cockpit and just behind the main rotor.
