Raggie Headshot

Ragged-tooth SharkUp close with a ragged-tooth shark (Carcharias taurus), also known as a sand tiger shark or grey nurse shark. Ragged-tooth sharks inhabit subtropical and temperate waters worldwide. It is not related to the tiger shark but is a cousin of the great white shark. Despite its fearsome appearance and strong swimming ability, it is a somewhat placid and slow-moving shark with no confirmed human fatalities. Squirrelfish are closely related to Soldierfish.
