Strategically Placed

A vibrantly Strategically Placed colored tasseled scorpionfish (Scorpaenopsis oxycephala) in Dar es Salaam. Scorpionfish feed by opening their mouth wide and using their gills to create a suction which literally sucks the fish right into their mouth. Here, this tasseled scorpionfish is strategically placed atop a coral reef abound with shoals of fish. It waits patiently for an unsuspecting fish to swim close by in order to snatch it up with amazing speed.
