Damselfishes from the family Pomacentridae

Damselfish Damselfish also called demoiselle comprise of some  250 species of small marine fishes of the family Pomacentridae excluding the the genera Amphiprion and Premnas, which are the anemonefishes. Damselfishes are generally laterally compressed and deep-bodied and usually have forked tails.  Some species form relationships with various species of algae which they farm known as Cultivation mutualism.
