Soldierfish
Soldierfish are in the family Holocentridae and sub family Myripristis. They are closely related to the squirrelfish in the sub family Holocentrinae, however they differ from Squirrelfish in that they do not have sharp spines on the gill cover.
They are nocturnal feeders and during the day they congregate individually but more often in small to large groups under over hangs or in caves.
Soldierfish are closely related to Squirrelfish and are usually predominantly red or silver in colour.
